Mesembyanthemums or Ice Plants as they are commonly known are a versatile group of plants. Originally this genus covered most of the succulents with large, arrow shaped foliage but now only refers to the small leaved, bright flowered forms. ‘Pink Sun’ has bright pink flowers from early spring to early summer. It forms a spreading mound, to 30cm tall and 1m wide and will form a good hardy weed suppressing mat. Looks best as an edging mound between grass and a traditional perennial garden.
