Abutilons, or Chinese Lanterns as they are commonly called, are a popular garden shrub.  They are hardy to full sun, part shade and most frosts.   They will also tolerate extended dry periods and should be pruned to around 60% after the last frost.  Regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed will keep plant healthy and growing well

‘Waltz’ is a stunning new form with bright yellow flowers, growing to approximately 1.8m tall by 1.8m wide.  It is tighter than most other cultivars and has nice green leaves that accentuate the large flowers, which are present for most of the year.

‘Waltz’ can be used as a specimen plant in a small lawn, as a backdrop to a cottage garden, or trimmed up in a formal English garden.  It partners well with the other two Abutilons in the dance series; Flamenco – deep red, and Tango  - flame orange.
