‘Salem’ is an upright rosemary to 1.5 m tall and 1.0m wide.  Like most Rosemaries, it likes full sun, good drainage and plenty of air movement.  If it is given these conditions the plants are extremely hardy and are tolerant of most frosts and extended dry periods.  It has tall waving stems of grey green foliage and rich blue flowers from mid winter to early spring.  Feed with Osmocote Outdoor slow release  and prune back to size prior to feeding

As an upright form it is a fantastic hedge makes a great border for driveways and paths. It can also be grown well in a large tub on the verandah where it is easy to get a sprig or two for your favorite salad or lamb roast. ‘Salem’ has a strong Rosemary fragrance and is a good oil producer.  Plant with Lavenders, Penstemons and Diascia to get a year round, colorful garden.
