lavandula 'Pretty Polly' is a delightful little plant that originates at Jersey Lavender in the UK.   It is an Italian type lavender that grows to approximately 50cm high and 450cm wide.  It has deep purple flower heads with clean white sterile bracts.  The flowers appear with the first warm days of spring, and except for a short period during the heat of summer will continue right through to the first colds days of winter.

'Pretty Polly' is an easy to grow plant that requires an annual prune to keep it compact, a dose of gypsum or dolomite lime after flowering and regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed to maintain its vigour.   Like all lavenders it requires full sun and good drainage.  Merle makes a stunning show when planted in mass.  It also looks great interplanted with Lavandula 'Kew Red' and Lavandula 'Snowball'.
