There are more than 900 species of Salvia and Salvia microphylla {syn: Salvia grahami} is from Mexico and Arizona.  It has small rounded and aromatic leaves.  ‘Baby Sage’ is a dwarf and compact form with masses of crimson flowers from mid summer through to late autumn.

It is a small shrub only reaching 45 cm tall and 45 cm wide that is tolerant of moderate frosts, full sun and low water.  It will also grow in partial shade but may not flower as well as in full sun.  A medium prune in spring and autumn and regular applications of  Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.   Looks good interplanted with  Lavandula ‘Imperial Gem’ and Penstemon ‘Snowbells’ to give a sprad of flowers from Spring to Winter.
