Pittosporum ‘Little Squirt’ is one of the better small Pittosporum being an attractive rounded shrub to about 2m tall by 1m wide. It has attractive grey green, rounded foliage with a shiny upper surface. The flowers are almost insignificant, black and occur in late spring. It is a medium grower and makes an excellent tub plant or clipped hedge.
Like most of the P. Tennufolium cultivars, ‘Little Squirt’ is an easy grower that will perform in almost any garden in part to full sun, most soils, most frosts and even some coastal tolerance. An annual feed of Osmocote Outdoor slow release will keep it performing. ‘Little Squirt’ makes an excellent specimen plant in a small formal garden or a low hedge along drives and pathways. Plant around a bed of colourful perennials such as Penstemon, Salvia and Lavandula.
