The kaleidoscope of colours that make up a cottage garden have long been a source of pleasure to many of the world’s gardeners. The dark red leaves form a colorful background to the eye catchig sprays of deep pink flowers from Spring to late Autumn. The endless display of colour works well as a specimen plant in the centre of the garden or as part of a mass planting in a border. It also performs well in pots, baskets and window boxes.
‘Blaze’ is a very hardy shrub tolerant of dry and wet conditions, moderate frosts and most soil types. It will tolerate hot dry conditions and prefers full sun but will grow in part shade. A spring and autumn feeding with Seasol and Powerfeed and an annual prune in late winter will keep the plant looking good.
