Coreopsis rosea is the only pink form of this popular genus. ‘Sweet Dreams’ has the classic daisy like foliage with soft pink and white tinged flowers. It likes a cooler location with part to full sun and moist well drained soil. It makes a nice open shrub growing to about 50cm x 50cm. It is a free flowering plant producing masses of blooms from mid spring to mid autumn.
Best results are achieved by regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed’ in spring and autumn and a light prune in mid autumn. It is hardy to moderate frosts. Sweet Dreams looks great in mass plantings amongst other perennials like Geranium ‘Rozanne’ or mixed penstemons. Also makes an attractive border plant for a herb or vegetable garden or in front of a bed of large shrubs.
